Invest in new tools engineered to transform rural livelihoods

Purpose

Vision

A rural Africa transformed by modernized farms and empowered women and youth.

Mission

We improve rural incomes, nutrition and opportunity by putting transformative farm machinery, and the means to make it, where it’s needed most.

Problem

Food Demand vs. Farm Power

* Baudron et al. Food Security 2015.

Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) has incredible food demand, driven by the world’s highest rates for population growth and urbanization. And yet the agricultural power to produce and transport food is the world’s lowest. SSA is the most undernourished region, and the only region where extreme poverty is rising.

Barriers to Mechanization and Transport

Youth carrying harvest, 60kg bags

Barriers to increasing rural mechanization and transport include: lack of adequate roads; lack of machines appropriate for rural farming; and lack of parts and service support. For decades these barriers have rendered conventional machinery ineffective or uneconomical, impacting livelihoods, food production and reliance on staple food imports.

Solution

Solution

All-Terrain Transport and Mechanization

We have developed a low-cost, all-terrain truck & tractor vehicle that can provide critical transport and mechanization services in rural farming communities where roads are neglected, damaged and non-existent.
